Alzheimer Support Group, where caregivers share and help one another, 10 a.m., Acton United Methodist Church.

Granbury Quilt Guild will host a presentation on “Quilting with Fabric Panels,” 6:30 p.m. social followed by meeting at 7, United Coop Building, 320 Fall Creek Highway.

Field of Flags opens for viewing at 3602 E. Highway 377. The field will be visible throughout the Memorial Day weekend.

Splash into Summer, vendors on the square 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Children’s Patriotic Dress contest at noon on the main stage and dance 8-11 p.m. at Granbury Square Plaza.

Field of Flags opening ceremony, 2 p.m., 3602 E. Highway 377.

Fish Fry, 5 to 7 p.m., karaoke starts at 8 p.m., Riley Stephens Memorial Post 7835, 3670 W. Highway 377.

SUNDAY, MAY 26

Splash into Summer, vendors on the square 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patriotic Pooch contest at 2:30 p.m.

Lighted boat parade at dusk, boating participants gather in cove by Stumpy’s Lakeside Grill an hour before dark. Lighted and decorated boats travel north to Mesquite Pit , then south past City Beach and back to Stumpy’s. Spectators can view from lake shoreline and at City Beach.

MONDAY, MAY 27

Memorial Day Obstacle Ruck, honoring those with physical and spiritual wounds who are serving our community and nation, meet at 8 a.m., Memorial Lane, 516 N. Travis St. Finish at Field of Flags, 3602 E. Highway

377.

Memorial Day Ceremony at Memorial Park, 8:45 a.m. with guest speaker former Marine Sgt. E-5 John W. W. Calvert. Bagpipes, flag lowering and remembrance walk at the end of the ceremony.

Memorial Day Veterans Ceremony on the square, 10 a.m. with guest speaker, airplane fly-over, essay contest winner and special music.

Field of Flags closing ceremony, 2 p.m., 3602 E. Highway 377.
