High winds damage roofs, snap trees, topple tower

High winds from a swift-moving thunderstorm ripped roofs from homes, snapped trees and power lines and toppled a tower in Pecan Plantation Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported. Scattered roof damage was seen in Pecan Plantation, Brazos River Acres and near Blue Water Shores. Winds blew power lines over Highway 377 near Cresson, shutting down both lanes of traffic.
