Tolar High School’s Wesley Miller earned a bronze medal in the pole vault at the University Interscholastic League Class 3A State Track and Field Meet at the University of Texas in Austin last week.

Miller, a junior, cleared a height of 15-0 to win third place. The event was won by Walker Rudasaile of Marion, who cleared 15-6. Braden Campbell of Breckenridge cleared 15-3 and finished in second.

This is the fourth straight year Tolar has had a medalist in the pole vault at state. Miller’s brother Warren, who competed at the Big 12 Championships last weekend with Texas, won silver, bronze and gold while with Tolar from 2016-18.

Wesley Miller is the son of Scotty and Crickett Miller. Scotty Miller was an All-American pole vaulter at the University of Texas, and has been a coach at Tolar High School.
